Delete Account
Request deletion of your 20.12 account and account-linked data.
How to request deletion
You can now delete your 20.12 account directly from inside the app using the Delete Account button in account settings.
- Open 20.12 and sign in to your account.
- Go to your account settings.
- Select Delete Account and confirm the request.
- We will process the deletion within 14 days.
If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by email at support@2012.co.nz with the subject line Account Deletion Request.
What is deleted
- Firebase Authentication account — your email address and sign-in credentials
- Nickname and account profile linkage — your nickname and account linkage used for leaderboard display are removed
What may remain after account deletion
- Uploaded mark photos and related mark records — uploaded mark photos and related shared mark records may remain in the app after account deletion
- Leaderboard history — historical leaderboard records may remain, but your nickname is removed
What is not held server-side
- GPS location — your device location is processed on-device only and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers
- Guest mode data — marks saved while using 20.12 without an account are stored only on your device and are not associated with any account
Retention period
Account deletion requests are processed within 14 days of receiving your verified deletion request. This timeline applies to deletion of account-linked data, not uploaded mark photos that remain as shared mark records.
